retailcommon - How did you get started in the business?
Basically I saw this brand at ASR that I thought would do well up here in Canada. Started off super small at 1st and the rest is history. Sick of working for the man and rather than complaining you do something about it.
retailcommon - Tell us about your company.
Timebomb Trading Inc are the exclusive Canadian distributors for Freshjive, etnies, eS Footwear, Altamont, Emerica, LRG, RVCA, Dragon, 32 Boots and Luxirie. Basically we live the shit that we sell and represent all day every day!

retailcommon - Who or what inspires you?
The birds and the bees!
retailcommon - How is business? Did the economy smack you around this year?
The economy tried to smack us and we pimp slapped it back. Well it ain’t no secret that times have been challenging, but we have actually managed to hold our head above water as we had picked up some new brands that were trending up. All in all, we are not out of the water yet, but things are looking up.
retailcommon - Which trade shows can we expect to see you at?
Know?Show, 5&Dime, SIA, Trends, Magic, WAM, J6 and possibly Fresh and Agenda. Yeah it’s too many.

retailcommon - How does your company stay in contact with suppliers/buyers?
Well thanks Bill Gates for computers. For sure getting up via the usually phones, e-mails and working a bit with SKYPE. Also visits at the seasonal meetings or they come up here too.
retailcommon - How do you market your business?
As far as marketing our business..we moreso market our brands and for sure spend a ton of money on ads, team, events, contests, demos, tours, product placement, parties, windows, displays, POP etc I could go on and on.
retailcommon - Are you involved in online social networking?
Social networking? Lol. I’m the king of that. Www.timebombtrading.com , FB group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8753448573&ref=ts , Twitter http://twitter.com/TimebombTrading, Blog http://timebombtrading.com/blog/ .

retailcommon - Does your site have ecommerce capability? If so, tell us what it’s like running an ecommerce site?
To be honest, we refuse to do e-commerce, as we would rather give the business to our retail shops. We don’t want to compete with them and would rather hook them up.
retailcommon - What’s the biggest lesson you've learned in business?
Nothing, no matter how good it is comes without working your ass off. You can’t front on the daily grind. Sleep is the cousin of death.

Special thanks to Garret Louie!
