retailcommon is the culmination of Tom’s 15 years of entrepreneurial experience in retail and start-ups and his desire to give all retailers the opportunity to participate in the exploding growth of mobile sales generating capabilities. He is a passionate visionary, innovative thinker and problem solver and heads the company’s sales force as well as guiding and leading the entire retailcommon team.
John Staines
Director of Sales
John brings retailcommon 15 years of senior executive experience successfully implementing and directing business-to-business sales and marketing strategies. He is a graduate of the 2010 Executive Program: Sales Management at the Schulich School of Business and has a career performance record of consistently growing sales and exceeding budgeted growth targets.
James Cunningham

New Business Development
James' experience includes Merchant Banking, Corporate Finance and Strategic Planning, working with a myriad of industries from Entertainment to Natural Resources as President of Ayrshire International Corporation (water source consolidation), Director of Spyder Networks (merchant banking), and co-founder of Compass Solutions International (provides utility solutions in the developing world, primarily the Caribbean). Mr. Cunningham is also a Director provate investment vehicle Fairmoor Holdings Inc.
Jeff Butler
Director of Marketing & Communications
Jeff has had 25 years of success in every facet of communications and marketing including magazine publishing, advertising, interactive film and commercial television production. As Associate Creative Director at J. Walter Thompson, Toronto, he worked on Pepsi International, Kraft, Nabob, Burger King and Foster’s Lager, and was later one of four co-founders of TOP Advertising in Toronto. His advertising has won many international awards and has run in Canada, The U.S., Brazil, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Finland.
Tom Balon

Research and Development
With over 20 years of experience in computer science, Tom settled in San Francisco where he worked in Silicon Valley holding Senior Level positions at industry leaders such as Hewlett Packard and Electronic Arts. Tom’s experience as Principle Architect on project teams involved with the design, build and launch of Internet businesses led him to NY, as Software Architect for RP Solutions Inc., and later to Toronto as Product Manager for the Internet forex trading company OANDA Corporation.
Sinc McEvenue
Senior Financial Advisor
Sinc has been involved in the successful operation of public accounting and private management consulting for 22 years including 5 years as National Treasurer of Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) Canada and 7 as Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Cumberland Private Wealth Management. He is currently a Director of Telmetrics Inc. and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
